Shepherd’s Heart
“Jesus did not come to explain away suffering or remove it.  He came to fill it with His Presence.”
~Paul Claudel
Community Shepherd’s Heart made a dramatic impact in the state of Jalisco, Mexico through the foundation of the Hope House (Casa Hogar Una Esperanza en el Corazón, A.C.), a registered Mexican Civil Association providing permanent and foster care for young men 8 - 18 years old who have found themselves the victims of abuse, abandonment or neglect. Many of the boys are sent by governmental agencies in Jalisco, Mexico, such as DIF (Sistema Nacional para el Desarrollo Integral de la Familia), to stay while permanent housing is found, a process which may take several years. Meanwhile, these boys are given the opportunity to receive an education, learn a trade skill and mature socially, developmentally and spiritually.

Shepherd’s Heart also partners with B.R.I.D.G.E Ministries of Laredo, Texas, a nonprofit ministry committed to providing inexpensive Christian literature (theological, educational, Christian-living, etc.) and other literature (e.g. home-school materials and classic books) to missionaries, pastors and the general public in Laredo, TX and throughout Mexico. Income received beyond their expenses is used to support Hope House.

Church Shepherd's Heart partners with existing churches in Mexico in order to bridge cultural barriers and to assist these churches in meeting the needs within their community. This, in turn, creates a ministry that is more than just a "hand out" because it establishes an accountable relationship between the family receiving the assistance and the local church. As a result, families receive practical, physical assistance and Biblical discipleship training while the local church grows and matures.

Shepherd’s Heart also receives and distributes U.S. tax-deductible financial support for pastors, missionaries and churches.
