Rich and Meme Thorpe joined the Shepherd's Heart staff in 2006. Rich has a pastor's heart and a gift of teaching in addition to training and experience in auto mechanics and appliance repair. He loves the Word of God and has a desire to instruct others in spiritual maturity. His quiet personality gives him the ability to listen and discern the needs of others and makes him a natural counselor. Meme has always influenced others with her passion for missions. She is very creative and has an energetic, enthusiastic personality. She has been on several mission trips and has been trained as a Children's Seminar leader for Unveiling Glory Ministries, teaching on "Cat and Dog Theology" and the THUMB people. They have three wonderful children: Michael, Havilah and Paul.

Rich and Meme are the Directors of Short and Long Term Missions. While their main focus is on preparing, strengthing, ministering to and hosting outreach teams and interns, they also focus on Staff Development, Local Church Growth and Discipleship and Support Raising.
